Idly Gaming
Hey ya'll! I've been fairly laid back as of late spending a lot of time trying to recharge. Recharging isn't going too great but I have discovered more free games I enjoy.
Recently my fixation on Idle Games came back. I've always enjoyed them for the simplicity and management aspects. My favorite ones recently have been Incremental Hero 2, Milky Way Idle, and Idle Clans. Some other one's I've been playing are Idle MMO, Idling to Rule the Gods, and Unnamed Space Idle. There's a lot more but these are all the notable ones!
My favorite of the three favorites though is Incremental Hero 2. I had put off playing it for a long time due to negative reviews but recently I stumbled upon a review with 8k hours of playtime and another with 14k hours of play time. Both reviews were positive and very informative to what the gameplay experience is like for this game. I'm 47 hours in myself at the time of this blog post but I understand what they were talking about regarding gameplay. I love this game because it's a semi-active idle game where you have to manage certain things but it's really not that big of an issue for me. While it is slow it still feels like I'm making progress in one way or another whether it be upgrading my Town Buildings or getting better gear for my heroes. It's definitely a niche game compared to what most would prefer in idle games but I'd still recommend giving it a try since it's free!
Idle Clans and Milky Way Idle are almost the same game in a sense when it comes to play style. Both are Idle MMOs where you send your character to do a specific thing and they level up in that category. Idle Clans is a little more limiting because there are 3 categories you can't level without buying their membership but the game is still playable without these so I don't mind. Milky Way Idle on the other hand has no limits for the categories you can level and the only stuff you'd have to pay for are either just cosmetic or extra boosts that aren't required but immensely helpful if you were to buy the membership they have. If you've played Melvor Idle both of these games are like that except they are multiplayer. You can do idle battles with multiple people in party, join clans, and even buy/sell items/materials on a player based marketplace. There's also Ironwood RPG that I started yesterday. I'm not really sure of my opinion of it yet because I'm checking into it less often since it's browser only. Nothing wrong with browser though, I just prefer having an app for it or having it on steam so everything is generally in the same place.
Because I've been so into idle games recently I also turned my game recommendations channel on my gaming discord server into a forum board so I can organize the types of games I'm recommending especially since I'm a free to play or indie game player. There's currently a post for Idle/Clicker Games, Steam Games, and Mobile Games! I'd love to eventually make a page for it on my website as well just really haven't had the energy to do the extra coding. I may just put it on my Straw.page sometime soon, maybe even today, since that is much easier for me mentally right now.
Those are all my ramblings for now, thank you for reading!
